Yoga is a discipline that is based on integration of mind, body, and spirit. There are many benefits of practicing yoga in relation to Parkinson’s disease, including improved respiratory functions, posture, muscle mobility, cognitive functions, mood and balance and movement.
Since 2012, HAPS has offered yoga classes which focus on utilizing breathing techniques with controlled movements to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s.
Yoga classes are offered virtually and in-person.
