Summer Lecture Series

Step out of the heat and into the Summer Lecture Series during the months of June, July, and August! Since 2011, Houston Area Parkinson Society has hosted this fun summer-themed event to provide participants with an opportunity to hear experts present on topics relevant to improving everyday life with Parkinson’s disease.

Each session includes one educational lecture and is immediately followed by a movement lab featuring a different exercise discipline. The movement lab portion offers the opportunity to get moving and try something new.

All sessions are held at the United Way located at 50 Waugh Drive with doors opening at 10:00 am. Below you will find information on this year’s series. Registration is required for planning purposes as we place orders for food and materials. These sessions will fill up, so reserve your spot early.
