Research is the building block for increasing our understanding of Parkinson’s. It is a critical part of improving our ability to treat, manage, and live with the disease. In collaboration with our Medical Advisory Board, HAPS hosted our first Research Fair for our community in October 2023 with more than one hundred participants in attendance.
Plans for our second Research Fair are well underway. We will hear from local experts and researchers, as we gain a better understanding of current and future research taking place in our area and how science is advancing in the field of Parkinson’s disease. The day will include opportunities for panelists to share their experiences as research participants and the benefits of participating in Parkinson’s research, and time to talk to local research coordinators about available trials taking place at their institutions.
We hope you will join us, along with teams from Baylor, Houston Methodist, UT, the VA, University of Houston, and others on Saturday May 30th at the United Way for this educational event.
