Houston Area Parkinson Society offers an educational program developed specifically for those who have been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The four-hour program is designed as a “Parkinson’s 101” course for individuals who have been diagnosed within the past three years and their family members or friends who want to learn more about the disease.
The program is presented by a local neurologist and HAPS Medical Advisory Board member. The small group of 25-30 participants provides an intimate learning environment and allows plenty of time for questions and answers.
The program is free of charge.
Participants can attend as many sessions as needed within three years of their diagnosis. If the “Register Now” button is not available, this means the session either took place in the past or is full. Please contact Kathleen at 713.313.1704 to be added to the wait list.
Pre-registration is required.
