No Falls Festival

Each year, HAPS hosts a No Falls Festival event featuring interactive stations focusing on balance screening, fall prevention tips, strength testing, floor recovery, home safety information, and more.

Our goal is to educate people with the intent on helping those with Parkinson’s stay safe and independent for as long as possible. Our 6th annual No Falls Festival will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at the United Way of Greater Houston from 10 am – 12 pm. The event is open-house style, we encourage attendees to arrive no later than 11:30 in order to participate in as many stations as possible.

Each station offers learning opportunities with experts who can answer questions about the topic at hand. Enjoy snacks, games, and meet others while learning about fall prevention and maintaining balance. No tricks!

This year’s event will be held on Halloween. While costumes are not required, you are welcome to join the fun. This event is open to individuals with Parkinson’s and caregivers/care partners. Please register so that we can get an accurate head count for attendance. Questions? Contact Maggie Abbott, PT, DPT at 713.313.1648 or abbott@haps.org.
